The 2008-09 Bible Study Program – Another Year of Spiritual Growth

And so it ended, the Bible Study Program (BSP) of 2008-09 – another year of study of the words of God, hopefully another year of spiritual growth in both wisdom and love. Looking back over the years – seven to be exact – sometimes the BSP seemed like a lot of hard work.
Sometimes, it reminded us of those dreadful days of taking public exams in Hong Kong.
But most of the time, it was a lot of fun.

The BSP will study the Exodus; come September. If you had been watching this program from the sideline for years, wondering what we were doing, watch no more and dive right in! We cordially invite you to join us now! The promotion for the new BSP year will begin in earnest in August.
We will defy the limit of time, and continue to go back in history to re-trace God’s salvific plan as it unfolded: from Adam and Eve to the patriarchs of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and now to Moses. We will marvel at His mighty work as God’s chosen people gradually emerged from the first marriage of human race to become a family, a clan, and then a nation, all of which was but the prelude to the formation of God’s New Chosen Nation – the Church – that culminated in the coming of the Kingdom of God.
Our sincere appreciation goes to all volunteers and participants who sacrificed to make the 2008-09 BSP possible. May the Lord bless us and keep us as a community in love – with the Scripture and with one another. May He keep us strong and faithful, steadfast in our quest for spiritual wisdom and unwavering in our pursuit of a strong bonding with the Holy Spirit, Whose inspired words we voraciously devour.
On behalf of the BSP Planning Committee, we wish you all a great summer, and trust that you will continue to seek the help of our Blessed Mother, whose intercessory prayers and maternal love continue to sustain us in our daily lives and in our effort to understand better God’s revealed truth, safeguarded lovingly in the treasury of the Mother Church and explained diligently in its fullness and entirety by the holy and magisterial teaching office of St. Peter and his successors.
